Enjoy the peaceful estuarine habitat on the fringe of Poole Harbour, plus mixed woodlands and heath

A reserve for all seasons - let's see what autumn has to offer

A terrific destination to see a wonderful variety of species.  There are birds everywhere and it is possible to see up to 280 species

A good place to see Short-eared Owls (4 seen on our last visit) and Corn Buntings

An opportunity to explore the Harbour by boat and to view Avocets and other waders close-up from the islands hides

An important wintering ground for large numbers of water birds and several species of raptors

This comparatively small reserve is packed with species usually only seen on large wetland reserves

The scrubby areas on the Bill and the open water at Lodmoor provide resting places for tired passage migrants

These woodland reserves are the summer homes of Pies Flycatchers, Redstarts, Nightingales and Wood Warblers along with many resident species

Our annual visit to hear and see some of the special crepuscular bird species that breed on heathland

The saline and freshwater lagoons here attract passage migrants feeding-up before their sea crossing
